Kajiado gubernatorial aspirant David Nkedianye was in all smiles and pretty happy when he visited the scene along Ole Karai river where a bridge collapsed on Thursday morning.
To the dismay of area residents, the former Governor who was accompanied by his campaign team laughed and smiled, promising to build the bridge if elected.
Nkedianye promised to build the bridge back in 2013 but throughout his five year reign, the promise never materialised.
Governor Ole Lenku has already promised to immediately restart the construction of the bridge and says it will be completed before August.
Some of the locals have conplained that Nkedianye never visited the area when he was governor.
