Covid-19 relief fund hand over presentation to Kenya Education Fund

The Kenya Education fund (KEF) awarded 160 bright students from financially challenged backgrounds with full 4-year high school scholarships on the 22nd of April at a ceremony in Nairobi.

This number added to the 377 scholars who are actively under the scholarship in various high schools across the country, Cumulatively, KEF has supported over 3600 students since it was established .

The students were chosen after a long selection process: Application, Short listing by the Applications committee, Face to face Interviews and finally the orientation and awarding ceremony.

In addition to the scholarships, KEF organizes Life skills, Mentorship and Career readiness workshops for all the sponsored students.

Prudential Life Assurance (“Prudential”) is part of Prudential Plc, one of the world’s leading life insurance companies. Prudential has an active Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program with support from Prudence Foundation.

In 2014, Prudential partnered with the Kenya Education Fund (KEF), a non-profit organization, to support initiatives that improve access to quality education to children from underprivileged families & communities in Kenya.

Today, Prudential life assurance Kenya and the Prudence foundation gave KEF a 10 million ksh (100,000 USD) check to educate 85 students for the next four years.

The partnership between KEF and Prudential Kenya has helped more students get additional essential life and psycho-social skills during the KEF organized workshops, which help scholars nurture skills that enable them to achieve their dreams and eradicate generational poverty.
