Leaders across the region continue to send congratulatory messages to Deputy President William Ruto upon confirmation as the duly elected 5th president of Kenya.

Today (Monday 5th September), the Supreme Court unanimously upheld the August Ninth Presidential poll that Ruto carried the victory.

In their congratulatory messages the leaders have expressed support for the new leadership saying they will continue to enhance their partnership with the people and government of Kenya.

The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Richard Ngatia called on the new administration to hear the plight of the traders across the country.

“I am Extending my hearty congratulations to President Elect H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto as I conversed with H.E. the Governor Johnson Sakaja. In furtherance of the SME agenda I paid a courtesy call to the President elect on the 2nd of September to discuss the growth and support required by the sector,” said Ngatia

He added that as the country moves forward  the government should keep the promise of hope and peace alive and change the course of Kenya through togetherness and hard work.
