Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna and Dagoret North Mp Beatrice Elachi have heavily been linked to the current confusion over selection of assembly Azimio leaders at the Nairobi City County Assembly.
The duos are being blamed for organising a revolve against aline up agreed on by the coalition top hirachy.
This comes after newly elected Speaker Ken Ngo’ndi, reverted his earlier decision of announcing Peter Imwatok as majority leader without due process being followed in line with the house standing orders.
According to an mca who sought anonymity ,said the convened meeting along Ojijo Road in Parklands Wensday night,by Nairobi Governor Johnson sakaja,and also attended by Sifuna,Elachi,and Mca Imwatok, there was an agreement to declare Peter Imwatok as the Majority Leader immediately speaker is sworn in,and make it look like the list came from the Azimio coalition.
“There was ameeting in Westlands along Ojijo Road,parklands, the meeting was chaired by Sakaja,Sifuna,Elachi ,mca Imwatok so that they force Clerk to table fake house leadership list with Imwatok being leader of majority, “the Mca said.
Nairobi Azimio one Kenya Coalition Mcas against Imwatok have now asked the coalition leaders to allow them choose their own Majority Leader.
